The Du Laboratory at West Virginia University Health Sciences Center is interested to reveal the unique metabolic network within retina, to understand how metabolism contributes to retinal degenerative diseases including age-related macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, and diabetic retinopathy, and to develop novel treatment based on our findings to fight blindness.
